Welcome to the Young ESOS page!

As you can see from the photos, ESOS is proud to have provided opportunities for young people to perform on stage over many years.  Whenever possible, young people are involved in the ‘adult’ productions but we have also produced 3 shows specifically for young people. In 2004, we put on Honk! based on the story of The Ugly Duckling, followed by an award winning production of Oklahoma! in 2007 and in August 2010 YESOS performed ‘The Wizard of Oz’ to great acclaim. Peter Pan the Musical – YESOS Summer 2012 production

We are very excited to be able to bring you more details about our Summer 2012 production which will be “Peter Pan the Musical” by Piers Chater-Robinson.

We are especially delighted that by performing this show we shall be raising significant funds for Great Ormond Street Hospital, which helps seriously ill children from all over the world. GOSH earns 13½ % of all ticket revenue as a result of JM Barrie gifting the performing rights to the hospital. What this means for us is that the more tickets we sell for our show, the more money we raise for Great Ormond Street Hospital – so please let your friends and family know what a good cause they are supporting when they buy tickets to come and see the show!

J.M. Barrie’s magical story about Peter Pan has fired our imaginations for decades, with most of us having dreamed of being able to fly at some point in our lives! The characters have enchanted audiences young and old ever since they were first created and the desire to hear their story and escape to the magical world of Neverland remains as strong today as it has ever been.

In more recent times Peter Pan has been closely associated with Pantomime, but as you will read below, our Director for this show, Fiona Byrne, is looking to deliver something much more real and true to the original text, a genuinely moving piece. How to get involved….

Now that you know more about the show, you will be looking for information about how to get involved.

(1) Membership of ESOS

You must be a member of ESOS to participate in any YESOS event, such as a Workshop, an Audition or a Show. This is so that you are covered by our Public Liability insurance. Annual membership to ESOS is £10. For details of all 2012 fees click here.
